Delores Thornton, a lifelong Indianapolis resident, belongs to several writing organizations including: The International Women's Writing Guild and The Writers Center of Indianapolis. She's also a volunteer for the Indianapolis Public Library Literacy Program. Thornton started writing several years ago and friends encouraged her to publish her first novel, Ida Mae, in 1997. Her second work, Ida Mae: The Saga Continues, was released in December 1998. May 2000, she released Ida Mae the combined edition. Her third novel, titled Babe released December 2000. Delores is currently working on her next novel, Anybody Seen Junebug? When she has spare time, Thornton likes long drives and visiting her grown children and grandchildren
